Programme description

In the modern world, there are a huge number of chemical enterprises engaged in the production of catalysts, especially pure reagents, mineral fertilizers, condensers and electrovacuum materials, construction and special binders, refractory and heat-insulating materials and products. A significant number of chemical engineers work in related industries - in ferrous and non-ferrous metallurgy, mechanical engineering, nuclear energy, oil refining, which makes this specialty very popular in any country and in any production. The educational programme allows to prepare specialists for various sectors of the chemical industry, which implements new high-tech technologies for processing natural resources into highly liquid products, which are currently the basis of engineering and economic progress.

The training programme provides knowledge in various fields, in particular, in the field of inorganic chemistry, nanotechnology, composite materials, materials science, and ecology.

Programme objectives

The graduate will be able to perform the following tasks:

  • to manage technological processes of industrial production of inorganic substances (mineral fertilizers, salts, catalysts, food ingredients, acids, etc.);
  • to organize workplaces, their technical equipment, installation of technological equipment;
  • to check the technical condition and residual life of the equipment, organize preventive inspections and maintenance;
  • to conduct incoming inspection of raw materials;
  • to investigate the causes of defective products in production and to develop measures for its prevention and elimination;
  • perform mathematical modelling of processes and objects based on application software packages for scientific research.

Graduates professional activity

A graduate will be able to carry out professional activities in industrial enterprises and in research organizations involved in the research and production of inorganic materials. The professional activity of the graduate is aimed at the implementation of modern nanotechnology in the production of inorganic materials and products based on them.
