Programme description

Problems of environmental protection are becoming more important and urgent every day. In addition to environmental issues, the assessment of the quality of products, goods, works or services is not less important. Today, there is an international system of standards and certification of products, technologies and production, operating in most countries of the world. In this regard, there is a need to train specialists of the corresponding profile, the demand for which is steadily growing. The educational programme allows us to prepare graduates in the field of modern environmental protection technologies. The curriculum provides knowledge in various fields, in particular, in the field of energy and resource saving technologies, ecology, biotechnology, physics, nanotechnology.

Programme objectives

The graduate will be able to perform the following tasks:

  • organize the work of teams and enterprises in the conditions of current production;
  • provide work to reduce industrial emissions and discharges;
  • organize incoming control of raw materials from the standpoint of energy and resource saving during their processing;
  • carry out quality control of products and resource, energy consumption of technological processes using standard methods;
  • participate in the work of central factory laboratories and laboratories of sanitary and epidemiological control, departments of environmental protection, and enterprises of various industries.
  • participate in the implementation of new technological processes, taking into account modern requirements for environmental protection systems;
  • carry out mathematical modeling of technological processes (environmental conditions and (or) human impact on the environment) using standard packages of automated calculation and design.

Graduates professional activity

The graduate's professional activity is aimed at implementing modern methods of rational use of natural resources, suppressing emissions and discharges, as well as developing management systems and methods for neutralizing (processing) industrial and household waste. A graduate will be able to carry out professional activities at industrial enterprises, design organizations, state and municipal government bodies, and in research organizations involved in monitoring, assessing sustainability, and levels of impact on ecosystems.

The educational programme trains:

  • ecologists,
  • environmental specialists,
  • forestry specialists,
  • specialists in the field of technosphere safety.

Students will become elite graduates for the chemical, petrochemical and related industries, which implement high-tech technologies, which are the basis of technological progress.
