Programme description

The development of civilization and modern scientific and technological progress are directly related to the global use of natural resources. An integral part of nature management is the processing and reproduction of natural resources, their protection and environmental engineering (engineering ecology). In the current environmental conditions, the need for specialists in this field is increasing. The training programme provides knowledge in various fields, in particular, in the field of ecology, biotechnology, energy and resource - saving technologies, biology, and nanotechnology.

Programme objectives

The graduate will be able to perform the following tasks:

  • conduct safety and environmental assessments;
  • identify areas of increased technological risk;
  • take part in the development of safety requirements in the preparation of justifications for investments and projects;
  • identify the sources of hazards in the environment, in the working area, at a manufacturing enterprise;
  • carry out research of the impact and consequences of anthropogenic factors and natural phenomena on industrial facilities;
  • carry out a comprehensive analysis of the dangers of the technosphere;
  • monitor the fields and sources of hazards in the environment.

Graduates professional activity

The field of professional activity of graduates includes: ensuring human security in the modern world, the formation of a comfortable technosphere for human life and activity, minimizing anthropogenic impact on the environment, preserving human life and health through the application of modern technical means, control and forecasting methods. The graduate will be able to carry out professional activities at industrial enterprises, in the structures of emergency ministries, project organizations, state and municipal government bodies, and in research organizations involved in monitoring, assessing sustainability, and levels of impact on ecosystems.
