Department of Analytical Chemistry

Main scientific field of the Department is study of thermodynamic, electrochemical, catalytic properties of coordination compounds of different structures.

In this area, fundamental work is being done to study the electrochemical, electrocatalytic and thermochemical properties of porphyrin compounds and their structural analogues, as well as the thermodynamics of protolytic and coordination equilibria involving carboxymethyl aspartic acid, bis (carboxymethyl) aspartic acid, D,L-threonine, L-phenylalanine, glycyl glycine.

The researches are carried out with the financial support of the Russian Foundation for Basic Research, a Grant of the President of the Russian Federation for state support of young Russian scientists - candidates and doctors of sciences, Russian Science Foundation.

It should be emphasized that the implementation of these works is carried out in cooperation with the Departments of Organic Chemistry, Technology of fine organic synthesis, chemical technology of high-molecular compounds, general chemical technology. During the existence of the Department, its employees published several hundred articles.

The results of the work in the field of electrochemistry of porphyrins, phthalocyanines, porphyrazines, thermodynamics of protolytic and coordination equilibria involving amino acids are annually reported at International (Russia, China, Korea, Israel, Abkhazia), All-Russian, Regional conferences and seminars.
